With a decade of experience as a Snap-on franchise owner Karl Arnold decided to address the issue that his clients raised with him time and time again - lost or stolen tools.

The Snap-on range is widely considered to be the gold standard when it comes to professional tools and that fact alone means they are more likely than most to be “borrowed” or stolen, so the need for a simple but reliable security solution was obvious.

So, Karl went to the drawing board. How do we achieve a sophisticated locking system, whilst ensuring that the design is so simple that you need only slide it into place? How do we ensure it doesn't interfere negatively with the locking system? And how do we make sure it remains hidden?

After countless hours of research and development, Genie-Lock was born. A solution for tool users designed by tool users.
